Clueless and Restless
Last few days have been very hectic. I have wrenched myself dry, but just could not manage to extract a few extra drops of time to key-in some thing. I was also not keeping well. I desperately wanted to catch up with some extra time of sleep, and never managed to do it. The more I planned, the more there were last minutes assignments. The result- reaching home after midnight. It seems to me that God has forgotten to assign some leisure minutes in my life. I am always racing against time...and always loosing. Perhaps, I just need to sit and do some introspection (Ok. Ok. It sounds familiar. I must have said this umpteen times.) But, the truth is that I badly need some time alone. Everything in life seems disoriented at the moment. Nor am I writing something, nor do I find time to indulge in some other hobby activities. I am just running aimlessly. Nothing worthy actually happening in life. I come to office in the morning and return back. I feel I like a preprogrammed machine that does a task without questioning or understanding the reason. I need to do something worthwhile. Things need to change in life big time. When & How? I am clueless at the moment.

Where's My Melody!!!!
I just happened to burrow a Telugu movies' audio CD from our Audio / Video studio. They had brought it for some intro piece for a function. The reason for me burrowing it was that I had expected it to have some melodious songs. Though, I don't understand any of the south Indian languages except Tulu, I generally listen to quite a few numbers in Malayalam or Kannada because I find them sweet to the ears.
But, I must admit that this CD was a complete put-down. It only had heavy western beats and was a cauldron of English and Telugu lyrics. I was very disappointed, and at the same time a little concerned. I am sure the lyrics were below average and the music nothing less. This fad to ape the western music is surely causing malicious damage. We are not just loosing our culture, but the rich literature the world has known us for.
The scene is not very different in Bollywood too. The trend of having loud beats and fast paced tunes have become a norm. The lyrics too have stooped to an equally low level. To a great extent, the listeners are to blame. Despite having stalwarts like Javed Akhtar and Gulzar, we seldom get to hear meaningful lyrics. They undoubtedly cater to the audience's choice, but I am sure there are people who will overwhelmingly welcome meaningful lines.
Today's music does not have a life at all. It is very much in lines with the current trend prevalent among the teenagers -One Night Stand. Even before it has registered in your mind, it is out of your mind. Melody like true love has been long lost.

What Goes Around, Comes Around Too.
I remember the line from Bhagavad Gita which roughly goes like this, “Why do you lament over something that was never yours. You have not created anything nor are you going to own it forever. Something that is yours today was somebody else's yesterday, and is going to be somebody else's tomorrow. You have not brought anything into this world and nor are you going to take away anything from it.”
Despite, this a human being gets grappled by so many perceptions and misconceptions. He begins to believe that he has the power to govern over people and change their destiny. What he forgets is that he is only humiliating himself when he humiliates someone. This is because the moment you mistreat someone you have lost their respect.
Success can be achieved by anyone. But, handling success is what only a few people can do effectively. The true power is when you are humble despite being powerful.
You can win a person temporarily with fear, but to win him over for life you need to win him with humility and love. You greatness is not when you are humble in weakness, but rather it is in being humble when you are strong and powerful.
You should never underestimate the importance of the weak and the frail. Even a mouse can save the life of a lion , or the ant of a swan. Life has no certainty. The person who reports to us today could become our boss in the coming years. But, you should never have this as a sole criteria for treating someone with respect. Respect and a sense of doing good to others should come from within. Until and unless you feel that way, you cannot respect others because it will immediately show in your body language. The beauty lies in feeling the urge to do good to others or treat them well from deep within. Then, and only then, will you enjoy it and feel good as well. If you don't, then you will only end-up feeling more irritated and malicious towards other person.
”If you cannot create something, then don't try to destroy it too.” If you cannot do any good to someone at least make it a point that you don't do any bad to him. Life is very unforgiving. It keeps testing you time and again at each step. What goes around comes around too. You will also get the taste of your actions at some point of time in life.
No one is born good or bad. Every one was created equal by God and therefore one cannot be created as a bad human being. It is our experiences which mold our behaviour. Our up-brining also plays an instrumental role in shaping us as a person. Based on these, being good may come naturally to some, while to some it may take some conscious efforts. But, if you practice this persistently and consistently. Each one of us can surely make a difference in the way we treat others. After all, it's just a matter of making few conscious efforts until it becomes a habit, and begins happen naturally.

Nothing Special
I have not typed anything new lately. I have been wanting to do so, but somehow did not manage to scoop any thoughts. This piece too is being randomly generated by banging my fingers on the keyboard.
There is so much to wruite about, but unfortunately there is no inclination. The day has passed by. I have not done anything creative (writing). That explains why I am feeling so miserable. Nevertheless, I will improve the situation tomorrow.
I promise that I will have something interesting to share tomorrow.
Till then Chow.

Resurfaced
Yeah! It's been a very long time since I have blogged. I had a blog earlier, but after the switch over( google did some changes) I lost my password and the blog. I did manage to salvage the posting, but could no longer log in to post. Since then, I haven't been blogging at all. I have wanted to start a new blog, but again didn't really have the inclination.
So, finally after a long hiatus I have resurfaced again. I must confess that the name I had in mind (and I was very proud that it is very unique) had already been taken. So I did spend some time to actually zero-in on a name. I am happy with what I have finalized on.
I shall soon update the other posting.
